Hello Family, Friends and all supporters

of the Toting Backpacks for the Virgin Islands

The bags have shipped. We have collected over $1,200 bags just in time to complete Thanksgiving and get ready for Christmas.

There is a team on St. Thomas Island that will receive the bags. They will NOT go into a warehouse for distribution. This team ie. Kiwanis will be there and contact each representative from each island and they will pick up their allocated number of bags

To our island contacts, I’m thankful for your response for needs and ideas thus giving us the information we needed to stay focused.

FEMA is aware of our bags and will see that they are placed in the right hands as well. We could not have done this without all your individual donations and of course the larger groups.

Direct thank you’s to Jackie Carberry of Warm Glow for housing and help with shipping. She was the first person I called and the first person to say, “This is a great idea” She's insightful, professional and compassionate.

Diana Dyer, thank you for being the Indianapolis representative to organize and collect bags.

Our professional businesses provided drop off locations.  They were amazing.  Thank you.

Big thanks to the Vintage Car Show Committee for your out of the box thinking. They thought ahead and asked the Visitors Bureau to enlarge the gift bags for their Car Show. Thank you to the Richmond Visitors Bureau for their support. Appreciated were the many vintage car owners that donated their bags at the “front door”

Thanks to Bev Walther for her friendship and our conversation about the islands. She was the catalyst for my passion.

Biggest thanks to my husband Scott for putting up with my crazy ideas, allowing me to clutter our garage with bags, boxes, and be gone numerous weekends while supporting me always with love.

I’m thankful for God opening all doors to make such a big difference.

The final bill will be made available to us when the bags get to the islands.
