October is Family Portrait Month!

Please help me support these charities!

In October the Professional Photographers of America sponsors a fundraiser for charities to help children and their families.  This yearly event offers us an opportunity to have your family fall and winter portraits taken while supporting these charities.  Each charity has their own story.

Throughout the month of October when you come to the studio for your fall family or Christmas portraits I will support these charities donating your $30 session fee.

To learn more:

Operation Smile helps children with cleft lip palette deformities.  In as few as 45 minutes for a $250 donation, a child can have surgery that offers them a chance to grow beyond hunger, social isolation, speech impediments and more.    http://www.operationsmile.org

Dando Amor is a nonprofit charity that helps orphans in Ecuador, Haiti, and Burkina Faso, Africa. Their goal is to raise orphans out of poverty through education and self sufficiency.     http://dandoamor.org

Elizabeth Glaser's Pediatric Aids Foundation - Elizabeth Glaser contracted HIV in a blood transfusion in 1981 giving birth to her daughter not knowing she passed on the virus to Ariel.  Their son, Jake contracted the virus in utero.  Ariel lost her battle with AIDS in 1988 and Elizabeth went to battle against AIDS.
