GRASSROOTS ACTION Ribbon Cutting / Grand Opening

The Grassroots Action Resource Center, in Richmond Indiana is open to the public.  The center had their grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration today.  Congrats to all that were involved in developing and seeing through this opportunity in our community.  I have had the honor of photographing the renovation of the building before and after, while ripping out some walls and shoveling a lot of rubble as well.  This photographic journal records not the just the building but the opportunities in our community, inspired by a vision Susan Isaacs had about 6 months ago.  A doer, and motivator, she with the help of many got the work done.  The mission of Grass Roots Action Resource Center is to assist and support organizations to maximize their impact, and assist and empower individuals in finding meaningful ways to help people engage in making our community a better place.  

Change happens one idea at a time, but the idea is only good if you act on it.  Congrats Susan.  I feel blessed to have been involved and will be eager to help as I can and watch the center grow a caring and educated community of great thinkers and doers.  

 

This is one of the joys of being a photographer.  Recording smiles, joy, people, events and life helps me feel connected!  Take some time to find a way to connect yourself with the center.  You'll be glad you did.
