I'm not a doctor.  I have not worked as a registered nurse in quite a few years.  I realized recently "I'm on call as a photographer"  To my surprise letting people know "you can call us for an emergency" is important.  

Client #3 Story

    Me, the photographer Cynthia Rauch is on her way to her son's rehersal dinner.  He's getting married tomorrow!  A representative of a local university emailed me with an "urgent" message.  Their graduation photographer was going to be a no show.  

    My client contact forms have a place to let me know if "you have an urgent need."  The information then goes to my cel phone.  I assured the university representative they would have a photographer for their event.  I called a trusted peer and she secured a photographer.  I still had 30 minutes free to relax before my son's rehearsal dinner.  They did not have to spend hours calling photographers and appreciated that as well.  A success story and yes, I don't mind being on call.
