First career:  Registered Nurse

First professional camera: A Nikon from my loving husband.

First commercial job:  The Cancer Center at Reid Health in Richmond Indiana.  The gallery is full of life experiences of families, friends, scenery and memory-making moments. 

First professional portrait: I earned $50

My first love of my life: My relationship with Jesus

The second love of my life: Scott Rauch married for 39 years

My favorite:

Food: Bananas

Music: Christian, contemporary, country. 

Hobbies: Piano, travel, 2 cats, working in the yard hiking, and crafts.

TV shows: Shark Tank, Big Bang, Friends, true stories or anything Hallmark

Favorite Movies: Apollo 13, The Lion King, and musicals 

My suggestion of places to travel:  Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Holden Beach and Yosemite State Park & St John, VI

My passion:  Spending time with people.  I love meeting interesting people, making memories and getting to know them. I call them blessings!

What makes me unique? I get the chance to combine my photography with my nursing skills for people with special portrait needs.

How did I come up with our business name? Sonset is not misspelled.  My life and personal journey are rooted in the spelling of "Son"set.  My studio colors are sunset colors. Warm colors are inviting and encourage you to sit for a while.  

Why did I add Imagery to the business name?  I got a call from a crushed bride, her photographer did not take flattering photos. This happy reaction to my restoring her photos realized there was a great need for those that cherish their photos and images.  Thus, we added restoration of all "images" to our service selection. 

     What am I most proud of? Knowing I don't give up but mostly fact that I grew up. (smiles)

Not in this order but I am proud to be a Christian, that I had a volleyball scholarship that paid for my nursing school, I'm happily married and we're still a fun loving couple, and that I started Sonset Photography & Imagery Portrait Studio. 

I am so medically oriented.  The business world was not my strength or interest.  Today? I love it and our clients love their experiences.
