Wedding FAQ


Q. How would you describe your style of photography?

I love the editorial, photojournalistic style combined with artistic images. Your formal group and couple images with be planned with you leaving room for creative capturing of special moments.

Q. What happens if you have a drastic emergency?

You have the option of securing a second photographer.  But in the event you did not take that step and something unforeseen happens peers from my professional organizations understand how to support each other.  All efforts would be made to care for you at this time.

Q. Do you have a list of referrals?



Q. What is the alternative to having my consultation with you if I cannot come to your studio?

We can schedule a phone call, use FaceTime or Skype.

Q. Do you travel to wedding destinations?

Yes. Long distance travel fee equals the cost of travel (Photographer and Gear) and lodging. This is an open ended discussion to create a cost effective option. Local travel is calculated with the standard reimbursement rate.

Q. Can I give you a list of images I want?

Yes. During our consultation we will go over your requirements including which family members and friends must be included in your photographs, who will be gifted or purchasing portraits. However other than family formals, I prefer to capture real moments as they happen. I encourage you to enjoy Pinterest but you have hired a professional that is not trendy. I am going to walk you through this step so you can be captured, your day recorded, your elegance remembered.

Q. How do I secure you for our wedding?

You can call me at the studio at 765- 977-3245. We hold your wedding date only after the receipt of a signed contract and a $500 non-refundable retainer. The balance is due two weeks before the wedding.

Q. Why do I need an engagement session?

Engagement sessions allows you to preserve those early special moments in your relationship. You get to meet your photographer and engagement session portraits allow you to have your save the date portraits and more.

Q. How often do we meet before the wedding?

That will vary on many factors but the goal is to preplan and be prepared. The more quality time we have together the more you get to know me, feeling feel peaceful with your photographer and your planning. I think you’ll find our expectations together will be quality, along with fun.

 Q. How many images will I receive from my wedding?

The number of images represent your personal portrait package. Anything above your package will be a repeat of images or redundant images.

Q. Why do you use a client gallery?

Your gallery is a password protected website. Here you will see your proofs, choose your final favorites in the comfort of your home. Your family and friends can choose images as well and you’ll share the excitement. The gallery is our starting point for building your album as well.

Q. Do you offer coverage for rehearsal dinner?

Yes, we can provide one hour of photographers time to cover your rehearsal dinner. Traveling distances sometimes has to be considered.

Q. How do we receive our purchased digital files?

You will receive purchased full resolution files on a DVD or a Flash Drive, and or download with your finished album.

Q. Will all my images be retouched?

All images are color corrected. We retouch images that will be used in your wedding album and all prints larger than 5x7.

Q. What is advanced retouching?

Images where everyone looks good but someone closed their eyes, or squinted or maybe left to go to the venue and missed the family portrait. There are many ways to “put them” into your photos or make corrections above and beyond color corrections and basic retouching.  

 Q. What is your album turn around time?

Your wedding album is carefully designed and then printed by world class album makers. You will receive your album 5-6 weeks after you make the final selection of images that you would like to include in the album. Any scheduling changes with this time frame and you will be notified.

Q. What happens if we have an outdoor wedding and the weather is not suitable for outdoors?

We will adapt to the changing situation. Should the weather becomes unsafe for outdoor photography, we will find suitable location inside to photograph. 

Q. My venue requires a certificate of insurance from all vendors, can you provide one if needed?

Yes. We need the venue's contact information to mail them a copy.

Q. Will you or your assistant photographer require meals?

Yes. Most weddings last about 8 hours and the photographer will not have time to go off site for a meal. Your venue might have a special plan for vendor meals. We will together decide what time is best for us to take a break.

Q. Can other photographers shoot the event with you?

Absolutely not. We allow only videographers to be present but no other photographer is allowed as part of our contract. 

Q. Do you allow family and friends to take pictures with you?

I encourage you to be the one to instruct people to stay back. You’ll find people want to support the bride and groom. You should remember that you have made an investment in hiring a professional photographer. Time management is a photographers responsibility. How you use my time will affect the quality and quantity of your portraits and will diminish the use of these portraits in creating your album. Second to this is the issue of safety of people and photography equipment. The wedding party will be responsible for any equipment knocked over, stepped on thus broken by any unauthorized individuals.
