Professional Photographers of America Fund Raisers
When you come to the studio in
October and April you help me support these charities.
October, Family Portrait Month is sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America. Yearly in the month of October we offer an incentive to our clients to participate and Sonset Photography & Imagery will donate a portion of the session fee or sales to change the lives of children. The proceeds go to help selected charity: Operation Smile and Dando Amor. Each charity has their own story.
To learn more:
Operation Smile helps children with cleft lip palette deformities. In as few as 45 minutes for a $250 donation, a child can have surgery that offers them a chance to grow beyond hunger, social isolation, speech impediments and more. http://www.operationsmile.org
Dando Amor is a nonprofit charity that helps orphans in Ecuador, Haiti, and Burkina Faso, Africa. Their goal is to raise orphans out of poverty through education and self sufficiency. http://dandoamor.org
Elizabeth Glaser's Pediatric Aids Foundation - Elizabeth Glaser contracted HIV in a blood transfusion in 1981 giving birth to her daughter not knowing she passed on the virus to Ariel. Their son, Jake contracted the virus in utero. Ariel lost her battle with AIDS in 1988 and Elizabeth went to battle against AIDS.
